1st Full day - Heidelberg

Today was our first full day here in Germany. The students all met in the morning for a rehearsal and to check in with all of the chaperones. After rehearsal we all took a train to the nearby town of Heidelberg. We had an excellent tour of the castle and then walked down into the old part of the city. Many of the students were accompanied by "their German" and so we had expert guides for exploring this historic city. More details and photos coming soon!

We are incredibly lucky to have an orchestra Dad and professional photographer: Scott Rosenfeld along on the trip. The majority of the photos posted here are his and we cannot thank him enough for sharing them with us for this blog! Here are some photos from yesterday's travel adventure.

Here are two photos from last night's concert. Daniel introduced the Okemos Chamber Orchestra entirely Auf Deutsch! (in German!)

It looks like most updates each day will have information from each day's activities, but photos may come the next day, as it takes us some time to select, edit and compile photos each day, Keep checking back each day for more updates!

Here is a teaser of our day in Heidelberg.
