There were some travel delays, a long flight delay in Chicago, and a bus delay (for half the group) in Frankfurt; but we all made it to the school (with tired smiles) ready for some good times with our new German friends.
It is a balmy 74 degrees here today and clearly the Germans are in the height of spring. There are flowers blooming everywhere. Tonight we attended a band concert at our host school. The Chamber Orchestra also performed a movement from Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. The audience was incredibly enthusiastic and it was a great introduction to our host school.
More updates in the coming days, we will post photos of the students' activities very soon, as soon as they become available.
